Welcome to the Market 96 website. To allow you to access the site, we may collect Personal Information from you. Because your privacy is important to us, we want you to understand our practices with regard to collecting and using your information both online and offline, the steps we take to safeguard it, and the choices you can make.

This Privacy Policy defines how Market 96 and our affiliates, including but not limited to Blounts&Moore, LLC and Blounts&Moore Holdings Illinois, LLC (collectively, “B&M/Market 96”, “us”, “our”, or “we”) collect, use, maintain, and disclose Personal Information collected when users (“you,” “your,” or “guests”) visit this website and other websites, mobile sites, domains, information portals, and social media (collectively, the “Site”) controlled by us. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies to the Site and communications generated via the Site. This Privacy Policy also applies when you interact with us offline, including but not limited to interactions in our retail stores or at in-person events.

“Personal Information” is information that is associated with your name or personal identity. We do not consider Personal Information to include information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it does not allow a third party to easily identify a specific individual.

By providing Personal Information to us or by using the Site, you acknowledge the Privacy Policy, and you are consenting to the collection, use, and disclosure of that information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Additionally, you agree that all information you provide, including but not limited to age, will be truthful and accurate.

Only persons 21 years of age and older have permission to access our Site. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 21 years of age, children, or minors, and we will dispose of any such information if we become aware that it has been provided to us.
If your child has provided us with Personal Information without your consent, you may alert us at [email protected]. When communicating via email, please include the words “Children’s Privacy” in the subject line and specify your concern.

Personal Information is information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with an individual or household. We collect Personal Information that you provide to us or the service providers working on our behalf when you visit our Site or retail stores, or otherwise interact with us.

User-Submitted Information
Examples of Personal Information you submit to us or other service providers working on our behalf include but are not limited to name, date of birth, gender, driver’s license or other government-issued ID, residence address, email address, phone number, account credentials, purchase information (including billing address and payment details), preference information, website or social media information, job or occupation, and income or salary range.

Personal Information may be provided by you in response to specific questions when you sign up for newsletters or other communications from us, make purchases, or communicate with us in person or by email. To better serve you, we may periodically ask you to participate in a survey whereby we ask questions to help us understand your general views, preferences, behaviors, opinions, and interests as they pertain to our products and services.

You can always refuse to provide Personal Information in response to requests, except it may prevent you from engaging in transactions, Site-related activities, or from receiving responses to your inquiries or other information of interest such as our newsletter or Guest Loyalty Program. Optional information requests will be indicated when collected.B&M/Market 96 may offer you financial incentives like discounts or other benefits for the collection, retention, and use of your Personal Information in connection with our Guest Loyalty Program or consumer surveys. Your participation in our loyalty program and any consumer survey is completely voluntary.

B&M/Market 96 will not request Personal Information that we deem to be inappropriate from you.  Please do not send inappropriate Personal Information about yourself or others on or through the Site.

Internet And Network Activity
We collect Personal Information automatically gathered from your devices as you visit our Site. This Personal Information includes but is not limited to your browser name, demographic data, pages you visit on the Site, previous Site access, date and time information, your computer’s IP (Internet Protocol) address, type of computer, technical information about your means of connection to the Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service provider, and navigational data (also known as log files, server logs or clickstream data). 

Other Information
Illinois state law requires that we capture closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage within our retail stores. This footage will include images of all customers and others who enter and interact with us in those retail stores.

We collect information you enter or provide to us when you register an account, make a purchase, contact us, submit an inquiry or report a problem, sign up for our communications, participate in a survey, or otherwise provide your information to us.

From Our Vendors
Vendors that host or maintain our Site and send promotional emails for us may provide your Personal Information. We may also obtain information from vendors that process payments, as well as from marketing agencies, advertising technology vendors, and analytics or research providers.

From Our Partners and Other Sources
Other parties may supply Personal Information about you, such as our business partners, data brokers, and companies that we acquire, and social media platforms.

From Cookies and Tracking Technology
We may use third party analytics tools, including Google Analytics, to help us measure traffic, usage, and sales trends by your use of our Site. These tools use various technologies, including cookies, tracking pixels, pixel tags, or similar technologies, to automatically collect certain information from your devices when you visit our Site.

Cookies are small files that contain information about your general Internet usage and are stored on the hard drive of the device. We may use cookies in a number of ways, such as to save your password so you don’t have to re-enter it each time you visit the Site, deliver content specific to your interests, track the pages you’ve visited, and speed up your searches.

The Site may also use other technologies including pixel tags or tracking pixels to collect, process, and store browsing information as described above. Tracking pixels and tags assist in delivering cookies and allow us to collect browsing information about you. Tracking pixels or tags may also be included in the emails we send you in order to determine whether the emails have been opened and if you have clicked on links with the email.

We use Google Analytics to help us understand how users experience the Site. If you adjust your settings to refuse cookies, or if you delete cookies, you may not be able to access or use some portions of the Site and some features may not function as intended.

The Site does not support the Do Not Track (DNT) functionality on web browsers.

From Combined Information & Inferences
We may combine information that we have collected offline with information we collect online. We may also combine information we get from another party with information we already possess. We may also aggregate your information with other individuals’ information to understand preferences and trends over time.  We may make inferences from this combined information about preferences, attitudes, predispositions, and characteristics.

B&M/Market 96 may collect and use Personal Information for the following purposes:
To process transactions and improve the shopping experience. We collect Personal Information when purchases are made at a retail location that are required to process your orders or respond to your service requests. In addition to utilizing this information to fulfill your requests, we may use information collected during these transactions to analyze and improve our services. In conducting these activities, B&M/Market 96 does not store, archive, or otherwise retain credit card numbers.

To improve the functionality, appearance, relevance, or other aspects of Site. We use the information we collect to customize your experience so that your visits to the Site are relevant and valuable to you.

To verify and to efficiently respond to your requests for information, services, or assistance.

To share periodic information and updates that we think may be relevant or of interest to you, such as our newsletters, upon your request or otherwise as consistent with this Privacy Policy.

To market products and services to you, including special promotions, offers, new features, or new services, from us or third parties, based on your interests and online activities. B&M/Market 96 does not sell, rent, or lease any individual’s Personal Information or lists of email addresses to anyone for marketing purposes, and we take commercially reasonable steps to maintain the security of this information.  

We may, however, provide your Personal Information to service providers and third parties that we partner with to assist us in various functions. These functions include providing technological support and performing security and anti-fraud services, providing you with our services and products, processing your banking or credit card data, and providing you with communications and marketing information on our behalf. 

These third parties include delivery, financial, and marketing partners, as well as IT service providers. They are given access to your Personal Information solely to perform specific tasks on our behalf. They are obligated not to disclose your Personal Information and are prohibited from using your Personal Information for any other purpose.

We will also share your Personal Information in accordance with any legal disputes, agreements, or mandates.

We aim to use commercially reasonable physical, electronic, and administrative measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your Personal Information under our control, in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Despite our best efforts, however, the Internet is not 100% secure and we cannot guarantee that your use of our Site will be completely safe. We cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you provide to us and we do not accept liability for unintentional disclosure. By using the Site or providing Personal Information to us, you agree that we may communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues relating to your use of the Site. If we learn of a security system’s breach, we may attempt to notify you electronically by posting a notice on the Site or sending an email or text to you. Our Site may contain links to third party websites whose privacy practices may differ from ours. We use marketing and analytical tools to foster a positive user experience. You have the choice to opt-out of the following:

Marketing Emails
To opt-out, follow the instructions within the emails you receive from us or email us at [email protected]. When communicating via email, please include the words “Opt Out” in the subject line and specify that you do not want to receive marketing emails.  Even if you opt-out of marketing messages, we will still send you transactional or operational emails. These include purchase or shipping confirmations, password resets, profile updates or other account related messages.

Text Messages
You can opt-out of receiving text messages from us by texting STOP or following the link at the bottom of any text. 

Many browsers can be set to reject browser cookies. Use the words “Help” or “Settings” to determine how to reject cookies on your browser (s).

Google Analytics

We are committed to keeping your Personal Information current and accurate. To inform us of an update, please contact us as specified through the Site, our Guest Loyalty Program, or by emailing us at [email protected]. When communicating via email, please include the words “Updating Personal Information” in the subject line and specify what information you would like changed. We will take reasonable steps to update or correct Personal Information in our possession that you have previously submitted via this Site.

We will retain your Personal Information for as long as needed for the purposes it was retained, such as to enable you to use the Site’s services. In some instances, we may retain data for longer periods to comply with applicable laws (including those regarding document retention), resolve disputes, defend our legal rights, enforce our agreements, and otherwise as necessary to allow B&M/Market 96 to conduct business. All personal data we retain will be subject to this Privacy Policy and our internal retention guidelines.

B&M/Market 96 may periodically update this Privacy Policy without advance notice. The Effective Date at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when it was last revised. Any changes become effective when the revised Privacy Policy is posted on the Site. Your use of the Site following these changes means that you accept the revised Privacy Policy. We recommend that you regularly review the Privacy Policy when you visit the Site. 

We may periodically decide to use Personal Information for uses not previously disclosed in our Privacy Policy. If our practices change regarding previously collected Personal Information in a way that would be materially less restrictive than stated in the version of this Privacy Policy in effect at the time we collected the information, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice and obtain consent to any such uses as may be required by law.
